Highlights of the Week (24/25 Term 1 Week 1)

It’s the first week of school for our young learners! It was wonderful watching the children come in with their backpacks, change into their indoor shoes, and get ready for the day. The students' parents had fun helping our little friends get adjusted for the first few days. Throughout the week, our Pre-Nursery students had the chance to meet new friends and connect with their class teachers. Engaging in fun activities, they sang cheerful songs that filled the classroom with laughter and energy. They even got to create a craft highlighting this special time in their lives. By the end of the week, we saw some remarkable progress as the Pre-Nursery students have begun to head to school on their own and preparing themselves for a new day.




K1

It’s been a heart-warming week for us in K1 as we were all so happy and excited to meet our new teachers and friends. We enjoyed getting to know each other through various ball games and activities. We also liked exploring our new classroom setting through playing with the toys and the interactive boards in our new rooms. For phonics, we recapped the letters A-C through some sorting games as well as some tracing to practice our fine motor skills. It was also great to meet our Cambridge friends ‘Pippa’ and ‘Pop’, who we will be seeing throughout the year in our Cambridge activities. In Math, we learned about the colour red by sorting red toys together. Our first week has flown by and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us.




K2

Hello K2! Welcome back to school! For our first week back, we got familiarised with the class teachers, new classrooms and new classmates. That was why we have created a “All about Me” worksheet for us to write our names, our age and we were asked to colour in our own hobbies. Then we took turns to introduce ourselves along with the worksheet. We were all very brave standing in front of our classmates and did an excellent job describing the different members of our families in detail.

For Math in this first week, we did revision of numbers 1 to 20. We looked and read through each number as well as practising counting objects of 1 to 20. We also practised neighbouring numbers up to 20. Everyone had so much fun and were so focused counting! Excellent job on our first week of school!




K3

Welcome back to school, everyone! We are ready for the 2024-2025 school year here at ABC. Our K3 students have had a wonderful first week of school. We’ve gotten to know our new teachers and our new friends as well! For our Critical Thinking this week, we got to tour our school and see all the different rooms and areas our school has to offer. Ask your child if they can name all the different areas of our school. We also went over all our new rules of K3, such as being respectful to our teachers and friends. For our math lessons this week, we reviewed our 2D shapes, such as triangle, square, rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon and circle. We discussed how many sides and angles each shape has. For Physical Play this week, we learned about the rules of the playground and how to play safely. We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and we can’t wait to see you for week two!

主題----「開學了」

    經過兩天家長陪伴上學後,幼兒也正式踏上自己上學的快樂旅程了,不但開心地聆聽老師的教導,更樂於投入課堂活動中;其中,幼兒最喜愛大肌肉的活動,大家踴躍地選取喜愛的玩具車,更能學習如何排隊等候走上滑梯,有秩序地滑下來,玩得不亦樂乎,整間學校都充滿歡笑聱。老師和爸爸媽媽很開心幼兒在首個上學的星期已經快樂地融入在學校的生活中了。

 

學習目的:

1.知道上學前需要預備的物品

2.學習穿衣服的程序

3.明白學校是個安全又開心的地方

主題:「開學了」-互相認識

 

愉快的暑假過後,幼兒重拾書包回到校園了!老師帶領幼兒參觀學校,讓他們認識新環境、新老師及新同學,記下新課室的位置,認識各個地方的設備和規則,藉此培養幼兒對學校的歸屬感。此外,透過《小烏龜上學》的故事,讓幼兒明白新環境或會帶來挑戰,但只要勇敢和正面面對,很快便會適應並享受其中。在接下來的日子,老師相信幼兒能學習獨立和進一步鞏固自理能力,我們要加油啊!

學習目的: 1) 學習介紹自己的姓名       

2) 知道自己學校的名稱

3) 培養幼兒對學校的歸屬感

主題﹕「我們的學校」-校園生活

 

快樂的暑假终於結束了!小朋友懷著興奮的心情上學去!

幼兒班的小朋友升上了低班,變成了學校的哥哥和姐姐。他們對長大了感到十分開心。老師透過「我們的學校」活動讓幼兒認識學校、老師及課室,讓他們知道課室的規則;老師在介紹學校內人物時,幼兒也從中認識新的詞彙。

另外,低班幼兒喜歡唸兒歌,能與同儕一起進行表演,過程展現信心及合作,老師藉由此活動增加幼兒之間的互動,學習互相幫助及尊重。

 

學習目的:

1. 能讀出校內人物的稱謂(學校、老師、同學、校長)並理解其含義

2. 認識兒歌《校園生活》

3. 學習互助互愛、互相尊重






K3

主題:我們的學校─ 我愛學校和同學

愉快的暑假完結了!小朋友們有沒有充分利用暑假的時間呢?

剛升上高班,小朋友也感到很新奇及興奮,也發現到有新同學加入。老師透過遊戲「小偵探•找一找」來讓小朋友互相認識,然後輪流作自我介紹並分享自己的喜好;老師也藉此教導小朋友要以禮相待及認識朋友的禮儀。

另外,他們也扮演了「導遊」向新同學介紹學校不同的地方及規則,協助新同學更快適應學校環境外,亦加強小朋友對學校的歸屬感。

學習目的: 1) 懂得遵守場地使用規則

2) 培養對學校的歸屬感

3) 互相認識同學的姓名及喜好
